Do you know what the white crest that is around the bottom of the fingernail do or mean? Because usually mine is a lot larger and lately it has been getting smaller. My thought is that maybe that is because I haven't been getting enough water, and physical exercise. Does anyone know?What does the white crest of a fingernail mean or do?

........Its either you hit your nail up against something OR that white crest is open nail-if you havn't noticed that not the entire nail is white why? because there is skin underneath the nail, where there isn't it's white.
