How do you get fingernail polish out of clothing?

I got some fingernail polish on a pair of white cotton capris pants. I tried nail polish remover, but it didn't work. I guess the polish is too soaked in to the fabric. Help! How do you get fingernail polish out of clothing?
might be ruined but what the heck.. check your polish remover.. not all have acetone... so they don't all work the same.. but then again the acetone is usually what causes all the problem when its spilledHow do you get fingernail polish out of clothing?
try to soak it in bleach and then wash it a bunch of times.?
soak it in nail polish remover or alchohol
Make sure your nail polish remover contains acetone, they have been getting away from using it lately as it is one of the easiest things to use to process cocaine. You may have to pour it through many times has either been banned like carbontetracloride or is dangerous like lighter fluid.
Nail Polish remover is the obvious to use Try again and keep putting the remover on the wrong side of the pants,Put paper Towel in back of it and in between rinse them, If this doesn't do it Then try,

1/4th cup of Alcohol to 1/2cup of water. apply this to the stain ,let it sit for a few minutes and rinse. Use dawn dish detergent, and again add the Alcohol %26amp; Water and scrub. Hope this helped.

  • How do I keep fingernail polish on my nails?

I have natural nails, but they are not really hard, so they bend and the polish flakes off. All of the remedies for nail growth do not work so don't even say those...I have tired them all. Is there a polish for nails that either keeps them stiff or bends with the nail? How do I keep fingernail polish on my nails?
Essie Millions - if used correctly - WILL stregthen your nails. You can purchase the product at Trade Secret stores. Paint a coat of it on every other day. Remove the polish once weekly with a non-acetone nail polish remove, and repeat for ninety days. I've tried Sally Hansen, OPI, etc. Essie is the only one I've found to work.

You'll have to fix the problem of your nails bending before the polish will stay on. Rather than looking for a harder polish, you'll have to stregthen your nails. How do I keep fingernail polish on my nails?
go to drug stores and buy natural hand lotions that are healthy for hands and nails and they also help harden and strengthen nails. i think vaseline has some good ones. then if you want them to bee smoother without bends and dents you can buy one of those three step nail buffers that eliminate lines and bumps, smooth and harden. and lastly, apply a good top coat before AND after applying your color. if its still going wrong, go to a nail salon to get a maicure and dont be afraid to ask questions bout ur problem .
your nails are flimsy cuase they're not healthy. to make your nails stronger you basically just need to eat a lot more vegetables and fruits cause your probably no eatting enough.

and when your nail polish is dry, run your nails under cold water, and the nail polish will stay on longer
Before you paint your nails, apply a clear nail polish base. Then apply the color nail polish of your choice, and lastly, apply another coat of the clear nail polish. The base makes the polish last longer.
before you aply the colour paint firstly use some base coat of the same brand. Between coats make sure each coat is fully dry and after you have applied the paint use a top coat of the same brand
After you put the nail polish and it is dry, apply a top coat of transparent nail polish. This will make your nails thicker and therefore make your nail polish last.
Before and after you apply the nail polish also apply a clear coat.

I have thought about fingernail polish remover but am afraid it will stain worse any Idea.My kids got fingernail polish on the carpet what is safe to use to try yo remove the stain?
Don't use fingernail polish remover. Take a look at this procedure online, it's worked for us in the past

Good luck!My kids got fingernail polish on the carpet what is safe to use to try yo remove the stain?
    Nail Polish Removal from Carpet

Before using any of the methods outlined below, first test the process on a hidden or inconspicuous area to make sure they don鈥檛 damage or discolor your carpet.

    Method 1: Scissors

If the stain is very small and confined to the tips of the carpet fibers, you may be able to cut away the stained portions. Don鈥檛 try this on larger stains though - taking off too much WILL be noticeable.

    Method 2: OxyClean

    1. Using a blunt edge (like that of a non-serrated butter knife or spoon), gently scrape up any excess from the surface .

    2. Make an OxyClean paste by adding just a tiny bit of water to a about a teaspoon or two of OxyClean powder.

    3. Cover the stain with the paste, saturating it and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes.

    4. Gently scrub the stain with a scrub-brush until the stain has diminished.

    5. If discoloration remains, re-saturate the stain with more paste, allow it dry, then vacuum up the remaining OxyClean powder. Repeat until the stain is either gone, nor no longer lightens.

    Method 3: Acetone

    1. Using a blunt edge (like that of a non-serrated butter knife or spoon), gently scrape up any excess from the surface .

    2. Dab the surface of the stain with a clean, white towel soaked in an acetone solution (either acetone based nail polish remover or acetone from your local hardware store). Be very careful 鈥?if the acetone saturates the carpet it can dissolve the backing underneath the carpet! This will also dissolve any stain-guard treatments in the area in which it is used.

    3. Just have patience and continue gently dabbing the area. Light and gentle scrubbing with a toothbrush may also be used. If you think the carpet is getting oversaturated, immediately stop and dab the area with a clean, dry towel to remove excess acetone.

    4. Repeat steps 2-3 until the stain is gone.
well try the polish remover on a small area of the carpet that isn't noticable. if it's OK, then try it on the carpet. just put some on a rag and dab it on. leave it there for a minute or two and then dab at it some more. DON'T RUB! that will rub in the stain. I spilled some on my sheets and it never fully came out but the polish remover did make it fade away some. i hope this helps and the stain comes out!
Just go ahead and use the nail polish remover. Use paper towels to blot and then reapply as many times as needed to get the spill cleaned up. This should not hurt your carpet. also after you get it clean put a spot stain remover on it and you shpuld be good to go.
I would use the fingernail polish remover. Dilute it a lot with water, adding a little more at a time, until the stain disappears.
ive used varnish remover before its removed the stain and not damaged the carpet, but it wasn't much nail varnish on the floor.
As long at you use a nail polish remover that does not contain acetone you should be fine.

How can I remove my fingernail polish without using fingernail polish remover?

I ran out of nail polish remover and can't go buy more because I have to save my money. What can I use to get it off my nails? How can I remove my fingernail polish without using fingernail polish remover?
You may be surprised at this, but a fresh coat of nail polish can work.

Whatever it is that keeps it fluid in the bottle, seems to be able to make it fluid once again. You just paint it on, then quickly wipe it off with an dry pad or disposable cloth (sponge is ideal). Kleenex is often not the best because it can stick to your nails.

The only issue with this method is that it is not easy to remove the nail polish that is close to the cuticle. This, however, can be dealt with by simply peeling it off after soaking your hands in hot water (it's a good excuse to have a nice, long bath!!)

Hope this helps! Good Luck:)How can I remove my fingernail polish without using fingernail polish remover?
I know it sounds gross, but the only option seems to be to use a file on your nail clippers and file it off or chew it off. Haha I've done that in emergency situations.
just try picking it off. :S

i've got nail polish remover before for 99 pence from my local pharmacy.

Try kerosene or gasoline. This should do the trick, but stay away from open flames until after you wash off the residue.
Rubbing alcohol always worked for me.
Eww! Don't chew it off! Use alchlohal. That's what's in the nail polish remover.
    pick it off

    hard- pressured water
chew it off or clip it off with nail clippers, always worked for me :D

If you have any nail polish left, paint over the existing polish and wipe it off.

Other than that, the only thing you can do really is pick it off. It will take a while, but it'll come off eventually.

There really aren't any other options. you can TRY rubbing alcohol, but it depends on what kind of nail polish you are wearing. It doesn't always work. How can I remove fingernail polish from my nails without using fingernail polish remover?
how about applying clear nail polish... waiting a few seconds.. maybe 10 and then wipe it off. I know that some if not all the old polish will come off. You may have to try it a couple of times.
Bite it off. I don't see why you can't just use nail polish remover. I mean yeah I guess it is all chemichals but its not like your gonna drink it.....
i think fingernail polish remover has alchahol or amonia in it.

so use one of those two.
    You can use pure acetone.

    Fingernail?

I have a very tiny bit of my finger nail coming off cause when i was cutting my nails like, it slipped and i cut a little piece off the side and i tried pulling it off with tweezer but it hurts, so very badly. Would it be bad to just leave it and wait until it comes off. It hurts so much what should I do. Hope you guys understand what Im trying to say.Fingernail?
I understand, and it happens to me too. I wouldn't pull it, as the way we use our hands and fingers can lead to infection, called cellulitis at first, sometimes worse if neglected, and lead to amputation. See a doctor, or at least a cosmetic nail specialist.
