How do you get fingernail polish out of carpet?

I have 3 kids and have a lot of experience doing this! Yes you can try nail polish remover. Be careful to just dab it, don't rub it or the nail polish will spread. Ask me how I know.

What I have found works best is to just cut it off. Use some sharp scissors or a sharp knife and go for it. You just clip off the very tip of the carpet strands (unless it is a loop carpet) and you will barely notice. If the nail polish has gone right to the base this won't work so well, but if it is just sitting on top it works great! How do you get fingernail polish out of carpet?

Fingernail polish remover (Which is mostly Acetone) Try very small spot on carpet in an inconspicuous spot first to make sure the Acetone doesn`t desolve or discolor the carpet.
