My coffee comes in a vacuum-seal pouch, so no foil. I have poor fingernails though, so I would probably skim a knife blade around the edge if mine did come in a can.
I jab the spoon through the middle and then tear the foil off from the center.
I just grab the edge of the foil and pull it off.
i do the fingernail thing with a butter knife.
