Is it ok to help baby teeth come in using fingernail?

She is using her fingernail to help the teeth cut in to help with the pain.Is it ok to help baby teeth come in using fingernail?
I personally wouldn't do that. It's best to just let the natural teething process do it's thing instead of forcing it to happen. She's probably putting your baby in more pain by forcing it.Is it ok to help baby teeth come in using fingernail?
DEFINETLY NOT, NO NO NO

Thats disgusting, what about germs fingernails r covered in germs i would say that would be nor painful someone pressing there nails on ur gum AWCH

they will come in perfectly fine use teething gel n calpol do not use fingernails may damage the gum or the way the teeth comes in
noo shell get buck teeth get her a teether put it in the fridje and gice her it put it in her mouth your self first afew times and then shel get used to it. also use bonjela and ask the doctor what u can use on her teeth if the pains really badalso dont worry about the infection thing because im sure your gonna take he hands out of her mouth when she does it now
It definitely sounds like a not so good idea. It could cut and damage the baby's gums. I would ask a pediatrician before doing anything of that sort. You would think it's not okay but with today's world there's no telling what is acceptable and what isn't.
OMG you could totally give that baby an infection! Besides, using the fingernail is probably causes the baby even more pain! My son is 17 months old and is just now getting his for remaining bottom cuspids. I haven't done anything to help them come in.
Like how? By picking at the gum around the tooth? No, it's not ok. The tooth will come in on it's own just fine on their own. I imagine she's just aggravating the already tender gums and possibly cutting into them. She shouldn't play dentist with the baby.
This is just my opinion, but I would say let the teeth come in naturally. I mean it know its painful for the baby, and its stressful for you, but I would say that's your best bet. They have Tylenol and teething rings and stuff like that that would help as well.
If your wife is doing that, that's dangerous. She could introduce bacteria into your baby's mouth and cause infection.

If your baby is using his/her fingers to massage the gums, that's okay.
wow, don't do that, it is just going to cause more pain for the baby, and a good chance for the baby to have cricked teeth, the have to work them self's out, use teething gel for the baby's tooth pain
1. your wife needs her tubes tied.

2. the poor kid could get an infection.

3. as if the baby is not in enough pain from teething already, your stupid wife wants to use her gross sharp nails to mess with the poor kids gums?
Are you kidding? fingernails have a lot of bacteria that can make a child seriously ill. It's defintely not something that should be taken lightly.
By having someones nail scrapping on the baby's gums will probably make teething worse, nd can possibly damage the gums.
that can be very dangerous because even though i am sure you keep your baby's nails clean there can still be a potential for bacteria inside the mouth as well as in her finger nails.
Definitely not recommended. They will come in perfectly fine on their own.
no because it can get infected!!
she would be doing that because it hurts get a numbing gel
prsonally i would get a cold wash rag. but thats just me/
