i dont think anything is really in there but i am sure that it is like this because of hang nails. the whole tip is swollen and now turning blue near the hangnail area.Why is my finger so puffy almost like a ingrown fingernail?
It sounds a little infected. A little cellulitis around your nail area which may have happened as a result of picking at a hangnail or pulling it off. It hurts, right? Best to leave it alone, or if it gets excruciating, dab some triple antibiotic ointment on it (like Neosporin) and loosely wrap a bandaid around it and overnight it should be better. I hate when i get those, so i know how uncomfortable they are.
