Can I use fingernail polish remover to get paint off a thin glass house window?

If not how scrape it?Can I use fingernail polish remover to get paint off a thin glass house window?
Yes!!! Definitely. In my chemistry lab we use acetone (nail polish remover) all the time, and it is only safe going down glass drains. It does not eat away at the glass.

Go for it!!Can I use fingernail polish remover to get paint off a thin glass house window?
What you need is a single edged razor blade (like paperhangers use) These are not ';shaving razors';. Ask in the paint department. You don't need a fancy handle for it if you got smallish fingers and it is only a little paint you are scraping off, you can just hold onto the razor. You use the razor like you would a snow shovel. First you make sure there is no sand or dirt on the window. Sand will scratch the glass. The razor will not. You are trying to shave the paint off the glass with the snow shovel technique.

Using acetone(finger nail polish remover) will only take off acetone like paints(such as fingernail polish) but will not affect latex or oil paint necessarily. The trouble with using the chemical cleaner, you must make sure you do not touch the frame of the window or that paint will be damaged as well ';if the stuff works on that paint'; Scraping is faster.
a dry razor blade worked on mine, but you could carefully use some paint thinner on a paper towel with it. the glass should be fine. depending on the type of paint, it may just scratch off with the blade.
Yes, acetone nail polish remover can remove paint from windows, as well as many other things. : )
polish remover will ruin any paint it touches.single edge razor blade will do the job.
I would try Windex and a razor blade...
ye get a flat razzor blade and just scrap it it comes right off
