How to get your fingernail polish on perfect?

Im trying to paint my nails and i always mess up.

i doubt this but are there any ways that you can put it on without get on your skin?

HELP!How to get your fingernail polish on perfect?
This used to always happen to me, but I now have a new system of doing my nails:

I apply the polish in very thin even coats, with two coats per nail. The thin coats allow less spillage onto the skin and the overall finish product looks 10x better than heavier coats. I also do two-three strokes of polish per nail, because the less strokes, the more even the coat is and the chance of getting it onto your skin is lessened.

But if you do happen to get it onto your skin, you could easily wipe it off with a q-tip while it's still wet. Whatever you do, don't let it dry onto your skin. How to get your fingernail polish on perfect?
You can do several things. Mostly though it is practice and a good light. I also wear those cheapo magnifying/reading glasses so I can see better.

Apply Vaseline or hand cream to the skin around your nails to help remove the mistakes easier. They make these coolio polish remover pens (a couple bucks at Wal Mart). They work great.

Using a good base coat helps so the nail polish sticks well to it. Also use quality polish, the cheap stuff never goes on well.

Good luck, and practice, practice, practice.
Kay, you have asked the pro since i was voted the Nail Queen three years in a row lol

first of all, remember this: Q-Tips are your friends. If you screw up and get it on your skin, dip it in some nail polish remover and run it along your nail. because honestly, nail polish WILL get on your skin. the only way not to is to be a pro (like me haha) and the more you practice, the more precise you will be.

the nail polish in your creases is a pain in the *** lol but get a orangewood stick!! ask for it at a drugstore but if you don't feel like spending $ use a toothpick!

MUAH
well just try your best with it.

and then use a nailpolish touch up tool thingy

they sell it in avon magazines its like a stick with nailpolish remover in it.

or for right now

just use a Q tip to touch it up when your done.
GO TO THE NAIL SALON!
