Important - Always read and follow the care instructions and any warnings provided by the carpet manufacturer. Rugs and carpets with natural fibers and/or certain dyes may require special treatment. If in doubt contact a cleaning professional for advice/service. Also follow these General Rules for stain treatment.

Remove as much of the nail polish as possible using a spoon or dull knife.

Apply a non-oily nail polish remover to a clean white cloth and gently rub (in only one direction at a time) or blot the spot. Continue until spot is removed. Do not allow nail polish remover to get to the latex backing. Go to the next step to remove nail polish remover.

Apply a small quantity of detergent solution to the spot. (To make the detergent solution mix 1/4 teaspoon of a hand dish washing detergent which does not contain lanolin or bleach with 1 quart of water; examples of safe detergents are Dawn庐 and Joy庐.) Use a blotting motion to work the detergent into the affected area. If spot is being removed continue applying detergent and blotting with a white paper towel until spot is removed.

Rinse with tap water using a spray bottle, blot to remove excess moisture.

Spray lightly with water, do not blot this time; apply pad of paper towels and brick and allow to dry.

If there is still some stain on the carpet and blotting is not removing it, then moisten the tufts in the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let stand for on (1) hour. Blot and repeat until carpet is stain free. Light will cause peroxide to change back to water so no rinsing is necessary. Apply pad of paper towels and weight down with brick.

Or, worse case scenario just put a piece of furniture over it. LOLHow do you get fingernail polish off carpet?
toothpaste- keep scrubbing till gone. it works!
Acetone will work, BUT it will melt the carpet. Use a non-acetone based polish remover. You can get it at Wally World or a drug store. Just ask for it, if you can't find it. My wife has some, and man does that stuff smell bad.
Now this is very tricky. If the polish is dried and crusty you may be stuck with it. The finger nail polish remover is the right way to go. You need to be using a clean towel and put the remover on the towel and blot it in. Then move to a clean spot and blot again. Keep repeating.

Don't be surprised if you can't get it all out, especially if it has gone to the base of the fiber. By the time you get the polish out of there they latex will dissolve and the fibers will start pulling out.

I have been a carpet cleaner and repair tech for 5 years and the best you may be able to do is get the polish off of the top so you can't see it real well from a few feet away.
best when u dont spill on that shiot first time. but if u isnsist on makin that mess, then best that u dont put down that litwe skin shiot in the frist place.
Let it dry completely, and try to nail polish remover again, and if that doesnt work try acetone, its a little bit stronger than nail polish remover.
rubbing alcohol that's what i used to get a full bottle of hot pink off my daughters white carpet .. worked very well pour it on the nail polish let sit for 10 min blot then go in circular pattern the smell will go away in a couple hours and it will dry fast
Try going to the dry cleaners. They might know what to do.
