What can I do to get fingernail polish out of the carpet without damaging it?

I got a dime size glob of fingernails polish on the carpet and i need it out of the carpet and quick! It just happened. PLEASE HELP ME! THANKS! =]What can I do to get fingernail polish out of the carpet without damaging it?
almost impossible.

get something VERY absorbent like a white cotton towel, or very absorbent paper towels, and try to get it up but DO not squash the towel on it.

this may not be the right solution to you, but since i own the carpet, and the vacuum cleaner, i would actually try putting the hose of a vacuum cleaner right over the glob of fingernail polish, and see if i could get the vacuum cleaner to suck it up.

this would work better if it was a wet/dry vacuum cleaner. and it might well ruin the vacuum - but it is what i wold try.

If it isn't YOUR carpet and your vacuum cleaner, don't try this till you talk it over with whoever owns those things. What can I do to get fingernail polish out of the carpet without damaging it?
yeah I have done that before, but if you want to get it out use nail polish remover. It always works with me.

wait, that depends on what color the carpet is and what color the nail polish is.
that polish is there to stay.

my mom spilled a whole bottle of nail polish on her carpet once, and she tried to get it out for oh, about 2 hours, and it never came out.

sorry :/
Gently lift most off with a tissue and remove the rest with nail varnish remover. As an alternative you could create a unique pattern by spattering the entire carpet with nail varnish.
You can use nail polish remover or hydrogen peroxide
