I have a bad habit and i bite my fingernails. i day ago i got a strip from the top of my nail stuck between my front teeth. it has managed to get loged in the gum at the back and it now making the gum swell up and is very painful. it only pops out the front teeth every now and then but i have not bee n able to get it out.
any ideas?

Stop biting your nails, its gross. Try to use dental floss, or tweesers toget it out. Its swollen and sore because you must have cut the gum, if that doen't work, no matter how embarrasing it is, go see the dentist tell him/her what happened. Hope this helps

Use a toothpick. It might hurt, but just try.
