When i smashed my finger the doctor like drilled a hold in the middle of the nail to relieve the pressure(and keep the nail from falling off/forming a bump) You may have to look into that if the bump doesn't go away after a while. If it's red..like it's welling with fresh blood, go to the doctor and have him relieve the pressure!
