I had to go for a ingrown toenail once and it hurt. They had to lance my toe and then squeeze all that puss out, because it had got infected. maybe your fingernail wont be that bad. good luck!
My husband has a really bad reoccurring one on his toe.... Going to the doctor hurts a lot less than when he tries to fox it himself. Also less chance of infection. They just remove it in a way that helps it grow back right.
Go to the doctor. Don't be scared.
i had a friend that did yes it hurt really bad and you have to be very careful not to get it wet and stuff after he cuts it out
I went to a doctor for an ingrown toenail that was infected once. They took a small pair of nail scissors an slid them under the nail and cut out the part of the nail that was irritating the skin. It did really hurt, but it got better right away.
Many people have, actually. Depends on what happened, the doctor will do what's necessary.
